Flower Latte Cafe Kuwait City Sumo

Hello fellas

Good morning to you all hope you all doing well,

 Today I discovered a Gem in Kuwait City; I mean a place kind of popular but the shop itself like a gem. 

 I went with my sisters to Al-Mubarakia it’s an old Kuwaiti outdoor souk and you can find everything in this souk most of the tourists when they visit Kuwait they must visit this bazaar you’re going to find some old Kuwaiti stuff as souvenir if you want. 

So the most popular seasonal place called “Sumo” it’s located in the middle of the old Kuwaiti bazaar “Al-Mubarakiya” why did I say seasonal because of the weather in Kuwait the best timing to dine and Shop outdoor in Kuwait starting from mid-October till late April.   

I heard so many times about this coffee shop Called “The Flower Latte”, I’ve seen my friends went to it but I didn’t have the chance to go there until yesterday with my sisters.

   

The shop is cozy,it does have outdoor seating area also & 4 tables inside. The first Question I asked was “Is the cake homemade?” because I love homemade cake better than bakeries ;). So yeah the cake is Homemade .

 Our Manu was:

   

- Club Sandwich includes layers of omelet + smoked turkey breast + chicken breast + cheddar cheese + tomatoes & lettuce. Cut in Quarters 4 pieces in total, it’s light & great for the people who are on diet

. My rating: 9/10

   

- Paprika Fries: normal skinny Fries sprinkled with paprika, it’s crispy & tasty. Yummy!!

 My rating: 8/10 

   

- Pita bread grilled Halloumi cheese Sandwich: Salty grilled Halloumi cheese + strong pesto sauce + avocado + thyme & black olive. 

 My rating: 8/10 

Dessert

   

Banana Chocolate Crepe: Crepe topped with banana but my sister had a special request adding Strawberries and the Melted chocolate on the top was really amazing it tasted WOW.

 My rate: 10/10 

My drinks

   

- Mine was low Fat Latte.

 - My sisters are addicted to Pepsi. 

 The atmosphere in the restaurant with the songs makes you feel that you are in Italy really a great feeling, calming too...

First We (me & sis) would love to thank Mr. Shebo (hope this is right) for the opportunity to try their most best selling dishes in the Meals on Wheels Kuwait Restaurant which he proudly recommended himself to us, but We must clarify that to Dine-in (must try it next time ;)  is best otherwise you won’t give their food justice. 

Let’s begin shall we:

(Appetizer) Real Deal Fries  

"It’s a mix of fries, onion rings & pommes topped with melted cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, parsley, chopped jalapenos and served with the special sauce."

Verdict: It was good with a kick of chili (Jalapeno) to spice it up but what I didn’t like that it was covered  with a little too much sauce for my taste.

Tip for the restaurant: when delivering this dish I’d love to have the special sauce on the side to keep the fries fresh but if you're eating this dish in the restaurant serve as is.

(Appetizer) Buffalo Shrimp Roll 

"Crispy maple glazed shrimp stuffed in a spring roll sheet with buffalo sauce."

Verdict: It was still crispy on the outside which I loved; well seasoned plus the spicy buffalo sauce inside and the maple glaze outside gave a sweet chili flavor to it, due to over cooking the shrimp became chewy.

Tip for the restaurant: the shrimp needs to be half boiled then stuffed in the roll because by the time its done frying the shrimp

would be well cooked. ;)

(Burgers) The Butch Cassidy Burger 

   "A dazzling stuffed cheese grilled patty topped with onion rings, provolone cheese, lettuce and spread with sundried tomatoes aioli."

Verdict: the patty was still juicy although it was cooked well done which I loved plus the provolone cheese is in nice contrast with the sundried tomatoes aioli, it’s like a match made in heaven.

Tip for the restaurant: for the delivery keep the tomatoes aioli on the side to keep the bread from sogging with sauce.

 (Sliders) West Coast Slider 

"Their original patty in potatoes rolls and topped with Tillamook cheese, pickles and their special sauce."

Verdict: juicy patty with potatoes roll on top was the perfect mix and the cheese was delicious.

Tip for the restaurant: the kids will love it because it got the potatoes and the patty in one sandwich so they’ll get everything.

(Sliders) Full Moon Slider 

"Potato bun with beef patty, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, potato rostis & their special sauce."

Verdict: it looks like your average burger with the brioche buns but wait ‘till you bite into this baby and you got yourself a treat the buns are potato buns and the patty is perfectly cooked guaranteed to be loved by all.

Tip for the restaurant: no need to change anything about this slider.

(Pastas & Risotto) El Diablo Pizza 

"12” thin crust pizza with tomatoes sauce, shredded buffalo mozzarella, sliced red bell pepper, red onion, jalapeno, fried garlic and roasted chicken."

Verdict: I love the pizza but I’d love if the chicken was tossed in pesto sauce then baked with the pizza that’s just me saying, the ranch sauce however compensated me for the pesto.

Tip for the restaurant: love if you have pesto dipping sauce on the side for the people who don’t like too much garlic in their pizza.

(Pastas & Risotto)  Fusilli Carbonara 

"Fusilli pasta, sautéed chicken, bacon and mushrooms tossed in a creamy sauce."

Verdict: al dente fusilli pasta mixed with the creamy sauce tossed in the white mushroom and Shimeji mushroom then topped with the bacon and freshly grated Parmesan cheese for me it needed a dash of salt also the sauce was not enough for me, the bacon was tasty.

Tip for the restaurant : the sauce amount needs to be increased a little and would love if the pasta was cooked briefly in the creamy sauce with a dash of the Parmesan cheese then served on the plate with extra Parmesan on top.

(Pancakes & Waffles) Nutella French Toast 

"Nutella stuffed French toast topped with caramelized bananas and drizzled with a Dulce de leche cream sauce."

Verdict: the toast was stuffed with the Nutella inside and the fruit on top (caramelized bananas & fresh Strawberries) not to forget the Dulce de-leche sauce for me the sauce was addicting and I needed more.

Tip for the restaurant: would love if there was more Dulce de leche cream sauce and a scoop of ice cream on the French toast.

The Sultan Center Home Shopping Delivery Experience

Hello All and welcome to my life where I share what I can about what i experience and test of services here in Kuwait plus the World, anywho here it goes:

Today I’m writing about my first experience with The Sultan Center (TSC for short) Home Delivery service (and NO I'm not being sponsored by them), I’ve been shopping in the TSC all my life not to exaggerate but I almost find everything I’m looking for from groceries to household items well anyone who’ve been to any of their many stores across Kuwait knows what I’m talking about so let’s begin:

-          The delivery was on time (2:10 pm) within the time frame chosen by me which was between (01:00 pm -04:00 pm) time slot among other time slots available to choose from which suits you best.

-          The packaging was neat, organized & Professional, I loved how you labeled the outside of the bags for (Keep Chilled & Keep Frozen) items also on the other bags the (Handle with Care) label for everything else.

-        The products were carefully picked by professional shoppers as if I was doing the shopping myself, the items were as fresh as you can get also the frozen items were still frozen which you can tell from the ice crystals on the frozen fries as it was taken instantly from the freezer to me.

-         The staff were friendly & professional both on the phone and in person, they delivered the items right into my house & loved how they kept everything organized also loved the blue delivery boxes that held everything in place instead of stacking everything on top of each other just to have more space.

-        The Payment option is what I loved most because I didn’t have to leave my house to pay for my order using K-Net among other options available which are (Credit Card or Cash).

-        Points were added to my TSC Rewards Card (you can apply for it in any TSC Store near you) when I checked the receipt.

-        I got 2 calls from your Sales & Marketing Teams informing me about the items that were out of stock & how they offered me substitution for every item in details for me to choose also loved how the team managed to get the large quantity of an item that I ordered for me to be delivered with the same order.

-         The delivery truck was a cooling truck so everything was kept fresh & cold.

-   Would love to see more items online from the Cheese & Deli department also the TSC Fresh Bakery department to be exact the fresh baguette & chocolate croissant.

-   They also kept the environment safety in mind by using recyclable bags both paper and plastic.

So today I bring you a new restaurant I will try it for the first time after I saw one of there items on my friends’s office while I teach her about the apps   So she ordered zataar fatayer “thyme” it’s my favorite savory pastry so I ordered throw talabat.com and I’ve ordered spinach fatayer and zataar fatayer   It’s taked 45 min to deliver it to my office I tried first the zataar fatayer It’s light so so light not to much oil inside the thyme mixed with pomegranate molasses .

And the spinach Only spinach with pine nuts on the top.

 

I love this restaurant it has lots of orders mixed cuisine Western & maditrian
